Parents and Tots

 

Parents & Tots is a introduction into organized soccer for U4 players. The Development of a U4 player is vastly different from U5/6 age group. The structural organization allows for the development of motor skills, social interaction, and imagination with an introduction to basic soccer skills in a structured, fun environment. 

Parents & Tots will meet once a week on Saturday mornings. Sessions will be conducted by one of our Excel FC coaches.
Players will need a uniform, size 3 soccer ball, cleats, shinguards, and water.

Parents will be involved in activities and rounding players up. Please wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Players will have a better time, if parents are encouraging and having fun.

Spring 2017 Info

Dear Parents,

We are excited that you and your child are participating in our GYSA Parents & Tots program. This will be an introduction for your child to the game of soccer by focusing on the player and the ball. The program sessions last 30 minutes. The sessions will be led by one of our Excel Coaches. We will play fun, imaginative games with the children that stress, dribbling skills, mobility, and creativity. The coaches want to create a fun, positive environment to allow the maximum enjoyment for all players and parents involved.

Our program is called Parents & Tots because we need your help parents to have the most fun we can during the season. We will have you involved in activities and games. Expectations of the weekend should be kids having fun, lots of high-fives, and leaving with a smile. Please be on time, have all equipment needed to participate, have a good breakfast and get plenty of sleep the night before.

We will setup a tent on field 3 to meet at the first morning.

At the first session, I would like to find Team Managers for each group. This person will help with communication, organization, etc…. Finding someone that is outgoing and willing to help give the kids the best experience is very important. If you would like to help please give Adam Greene a call: 706-975-1671.

Snack List

I have attached a list of when you will provide snacks for your group. There is a list of good healthy, tasty options for the kids after a morning athletic event. Please plan appropriately. The kids really enjoy getting a snack after sessions and will set them up for success and healthy lifestyle. Let’s keep in mind that it will be 9:30 in the morning. We are involved in an athletic event, and need to provide a healthy treat that will nourish the body after physical activity. Please no junk food or drinks. We will wait for that at the end of the season bash.

 

**Those on the snack list for May 13 will help provide food and items for the end of season bash. (Pizza, drinks, plates, etc….)
